Course Overview
The course will cover basic progression to develop Olympic Weightlifting Technique (Snatch + Clean and Jerk), Exercises to develop Technique/Power for the lifts, Warm-Up + Stretching, Safety in the Club and touch on the Competitive aspect of the Sport.

 

Coaches will be put in pairs so that when one Coach is performing lifts/exercises the other Coach is Evaluating and providing feedback so that they not only learn the technique but also are working on how to teach the technique. Coaches will have a better understanding of the basic technique and teaching progression of the Olympic lifts, what errors to look for and how to correct them (Evaluation + Feedback). Coaches will have a better understanding of the overall skills required to be proficient at performing the Olympic lifts. Coaches will learn to Analyze Performance, Provide Support to Athletes in Training and Support the Competitive Experience.

 

 

 

Prerequisites: A willing to LEARN and a PASSION for Improving SPORT
